    BOWIE, MD – The Winston-Salem State Rams gave some solid performances to close out the 2018 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Sunday. The Rams battled through injury to place fifth in the final team standings at the meet with 77.5 points at the meet.

The Rams had some solid performances on opening day of the two-day meet as they look to repeat as CIAA champions.

WSSU sophomore Kayla Foy stole the show when she qualified for the finals of the women’s 60m dash in the preliminaries.

    INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The Winston-Salem State Rams will once again return to the national stage as  sophomores Kayla Foy, Cierra Thompson, and freshman Qizeah Jackson were selected to compete in the 2018 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championship Track & Field Meet. The NCAA announced its qualifiers for the national championship meet, Tuesday afternoon.

She earned the honor after a stellar season with the Rams.

    WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams had one of their best performances of the season when the team placed second at the 2018 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships. The Rams totaled 154 points to place second behind the champion Saint Augustine’s Falcons, Monday evening.

    CHARLOTTE, NC – The Winston-Salem State University women’s track & field team is off to a great start to the season and it showed when WSSU sophomore Kayla Foy and head coach James Daniels both took home Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) weekly honors. Foy was named the CIAA Women’s Indoor Track Runner of the Week while Daniels was named the CIAA Women’s Indoor Track & Field Coach of the Week.

    WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State University Rams women’s indoor track & field team got a new era started on the right foot when the team had some solid early performances at the UNC-Greensboro Early Bird Duals. With a young team and under a new head coach, the Winston-Salem State Rams looked impressive against several top teams from both NCAA Division II and NCAA Division II.
