Personal: Coach Hamilton Cuthrell joined the Winston-Salem State University Track and Field teams as an assistant coach in the fall of 2008. A coach with a plethora of expertise, Cuthrell has an excellent athletic history at the highest level of competition.

A six-time All-America selection, Cuthrell was the national runner-up in the 1996 NCAA National Indoor Championships in the 55 meters. An eight-time Mason Dixon Conference/Dixie Conference champion in the 55 meters, 100 meters and 200 meters. During his outstanding career Cuthrell turned in career-bests of 10.20 in the 100m and 21.04 in the 200m.

The 1994 graduate of Methodist University touts a B.A. in Media Communications with a concentration in Marketing and is the owner of Just Move Personal Training Services which specializes in fitness for health.

A licensed and certified personal trainer and Level 1 USA Track and Field Coach, Cuthrell currently works with the WSSU sprinters (55m-200m) as well as supervising the Rams and Lady Rams academic support systems and study halls in addition to helping to coordinate housing for the track and field student-athletes as well as serving as the strength and conditioning coordinator for the track and field teams.

A member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., he is also a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the National Strength Professional Association. A native of Winston-Salem, N.C., Cuthrell and his wife Kiona live in Winston-Salem with their daughters Anna (12) and Mikael (5).
