Personal: The 2006 season marks Edwards' first as a member of the Winston-Salem State University women's track and field team where she will compete in the shot put and discus as well as some long-distance events. A native of Wagram, NC, she is a 2005 graduate of Scotland High School in Louisburg, NC where she was named the Scots' most valuable field athlete on the track and field team. A member of the "Who's Who Among American High School Students" list, she was a member of the National Honor Society. The daughter of Henry and Mable Edwards. Her cousin, Allen Davis plays baseball for the 49'ers of the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. Has yet to declare a major at WSSU. Born in Wagram, NC on April 18, 1987. Nicknamed "Juice" or "Elmo".
