Personal: The 2009-10 season marks Peaks' fourth year as a member of the Lady Rams' track and field teams where she will compete in the jumps and sprint events. A native of Durham, NC, she is a 2006 graduate of the Durham School of the Arts where she was a member of the Bulldogs' track and field, volleyball and basketball teams. The MVP for the volleyball and track and field teams for three consecutive years she was voted as the Bulldogs' Female Student-Athlete of the Year in both her junior and senior seasons. The daughter of Dennis Peaks and Jackie Jones. A Physical Education major at WSSU. Born in Durham, NC on June 24, 1988. Nicknamed "Jess".
