RALEIGH, NC - The Winston-Salem State Rams and Lady Rams track & field teams continue to impress the field with some great performances at the 2009 Reebok Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State University this weekend. This weekend, the WSSU sprinters took center stage with a number of top performances at the Paul Derr Track Stadium.
While both teams had a number of great efforts, the Rams' sprinters took center stage with a number of top ten finishes on the day. WSSU junior Paul Williams had the best effort of the day finishing eighth in the men's 100m dash finals with a 10.75 in the event while senior Gerrod Sidbury added a great ninth place finish in the men's 400m dash in 47.66.

The Lady Rams had some great times at the event, but were swallowed by a crowded field at the event. WSSU senior Wykeita Barnett led the charge for the Lady Rams, placing 12th in the women's 100m dash finals in 12.23. The freshman duo of Chinaka Bell and Crystal Webley had a great effort in the women's 200m dash invitational.
