DURHAM, NC - The young Lady Ram sprinters got a chance to show what they can do, Friday afternoon at the 2008 Duke Asics Invitational at Wallace Wade Stadium. All three Lady Rams that competed on Friday posted top 30 finishes and nearly broke the top 20 in the both events that the team lined up for.
WSSU freshman Allegra Seegars had the best individual finish of the day for the Lady Rams, placing 21st in the women's 400m dash developmental. She finished the event in a time of 1:01.21, leaving behind sprinters from
Two more Lady Rams lined up today with junior Malliron Hodge and freshman Persha Lane taking part in the women's 400m hurdles developmental. Lane finished 22nd in the event with a time of 1:10.66. Hodge was close behind, finishing 23rd with a time of 1:11.12.
The Lady Rams will return to action tomorrow when the team completes the two-day event.
