PETERSBURG, VA -- The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams track and field team recorded eight top-ten finishes at the 2006 CIAA Women's Track and Field Championships on Sunday afternoon in Petersburg, VA as they were led by Irene Jeptolo's first and fourth place finishes en route to a fifth place finish overall.

Jeptolo, the NCAA Division II Southeast Region Cross-Country Athlete of the Year showed the poise that makes her one of the nation's elite distance runners as she finished fourth in the women's 1500 meters with a time of 5:01.37 and won the women's 3000 meters with a time of 10:31.64.

The Lady Rams will return to action on May 12, 2006 at the North Carolina A&T Invitational in Greensboro, NC.
