PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams relay team had a solid day at the 117th Penn Relays where the team had a strong showing at one of the most prestigious track & field meets in the world. The Lady Rams' 4x200m relay team posted a 23rd overall finish at the meet against some of the top collegiate sprint relay teams in the nation.
The Lady Rams 4x200m relay team finished the event with a 1:40.32 and placed third in their heat of the race. The team competed against some quality competition as they lined up against teams from Saint John's, Rutgers, and James Madison to name a few.
On Thursday, the Lady Rams relay team also posted a strong effort with a 32nd place finish in the women's sprint medley when the team recorded a 4:16.48 in the third heat of the event.
The Rams and Lady Rams will return to action tomorrow when the team completes the meet with Rams competing in the men's high jump and the women's 4x800m relay.
