Lady Rams Take Tough Three-Set Loss to #21 Wingate

WINGATE, NC – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (0-2) were outgunned in a tough three-set loss to the #21 Wingate Bulldogs (2-0), Saturday morning at the Wingate Classic. The Lady Rams gave a solid effort, but could not stop the high-powered Wingate attack that totaled 45 kills in the match.

The Lady Rams gave it their all in the match, but struggled to find their way with three straight set losses, 25-18, 25-20, and 25-14. As a team, the Lady Rams finished with 22 total kills. Three WSSU players led the offensive attack by the Lady Rams with five kills each. Junior Katelyn Sigala and senior right side Francesca Edgerton added six digs each to lead the way.
