Lady Rams Take Hard-Fought Five Set Loss to West Virginia Wesleyan

FAIRMONT, WV – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (0-3) gave it their all, but the team could not pull the win in a five-set loss to the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats (1-2), Saturday morning at the Falcon Fest Volleyball Tournament. The Lady Rams fought hard in all five sets of the match, but ended the day with the loss by scores of 18-25, 25-15, 25-16, 20-25, and 5-15.

Winston-Salem State sophomore right side hitter Olivia Owens led the way for the team with seven kills on 18 attempts with a pair of errors while junior middle hitter Darissa Jones added three kills on nine attempts. Freshman Jocelyn Mills also had a solid effort with five kills on 15 attempts in the match.
