CHARLOTTE, NC – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (7-5, 7-0 CIAA) continued their great play, Saturday, when the team took an impressive three-set win over the Elizabeth City State Lady Vikings at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Round-Up, hosted by Johnson C. Smith University. The Lady Rams rolled to the victory, 25-9, 25-18, and 25-16.
The Lady Rams turned up their defensive efforts to take the win as the team allowed just 17 kills to the Lady Vikings and recorded 10 total blocks in the match. WSSU senior outside hitter Avoni Seymour led the way for the Lady Rams with eight kills while sophomore right side hitter Olivia Owens added eight kills as well. Freshman libero Zipporah Foster recorded eight digs as well.
