CHARLOTTE, NC – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (10-6, 9-1 CIAA) picked up a key Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) win, Monday when the team took a three-set victory at Johnson C. Smith. The Lady Rams took the win in an impressive fashion, winning by scores of 25-17, 25-17, and 25-16.
As a team, the Lady Rams turned up their defensive efforts to take the win, holding the Lady Golden Bulls to just 22 kills in the match. The team also added 10 service aces in the match as well. WSSU senior outside hitter Avoni Seymour led the Lady Rams to the win with 10 kills and just three attack errors. Senior outside hitter Katelin Wensley added nine kills while senior libero Katelyn Sigala led the defensive effort with seven digs.
