SALISBURY, NC – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (11-6, 10-1 CIAA) remained perfect in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division when the team took an impressive three-set win at Livingstone, Thursday evening. The Lady Rams dominated all facets of the game as the team took all three sets, 25-17, 25-16, and 25-20.
As a team, the Lady Rams totaled 25 kills and added 11 service aces. In addition to the team's impressive offensive outing, the Lady Rams benefitted from a slew of Livingstone attack errors with the home team committing 24 errors in the match. WSSU sophomore middle blocker Olivia Owens led the way for the team with nine kills in the match. She also added a solo block. The senior tandem of outside hitter Avoni Seymour and Katelyn Sigala also added some impressive defense, tying for a team-high eight digs each.
The Lady Rams will return to action this weekend when the team heads to North Greenville, South Carolina to face Barton College and the North Greenville Crusaders in a tri-match.
