Head Coach Andi Henderson returns to WSSU to lead the Ram Volleyball program in her fifth season at the helm. Henderson has transformed WSSU into one of the top teams in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA).

In her short time at WSSU, Henderson has had a tremendous impact on the program. In the past four seasons, Henderson and the Rams have amassed a 55-9 record in CIAA play, won the 2013 and 2015 CIAA Southern Division Championship, finished as runners-up for the 2013 CIAA Championship, won the 2015 CIAA Championship, and led the Rams to their first NCAA Regional Tournament appearance in school history.

Henderson came to Winston-Salem State after spending three seasons as an assistant coach at Catawba College where she helped to guide the Indians to the second round of the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Tournament. During her tenure at Catawba, the team produced five all-conference players as well as two NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region players in 2011. Prior to joining the staff at Catawba, Henderson spent two seasons at Greensboro College where she helped produce a pair of all-conference performers. She began her coaching career in 2008 when she coached for the Cherry Point Military Team.

As a player, Henderson enjoyed a stellar career. She was a three year all-conference performer at Catawba College. During her career, she set the school record for assists in a match (83), per set average (12.94), and career assists (4,119). She is also ranked second for assists in a season (1,605). Henderson is no stranger to WSSU as she played her freshman season with the Lady Rams. She earned a spot on the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) All-Rookie team.

She is a 2008 graduate of Catawba College and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Management.  She currently resides in Greensboro, N.C.
