WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (9-5, 6-0 CIAA) had to dig deep to take a five-set win over the Shaw Bears (7-6, 3-3 CIAA), Thursday evening. In a match that was the Rams’ Dig Pink match, both teams gave an inspired effort in the match. After opening the match with a 21-25 loss in the opening set, the Rams posted back-to-back set wins, 25-18 and 25-16. The Rams took an 18-25 loss in the fourth set, but closed out the match with a 15-9 win.[read more]

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (8-5) gave it their all, but the team came up short in a tough four-set loss to the North Greenville Crusaders (14-5), Wednesday evening. After a tough 18-25 loss in the opening set, the Rams rebounded for a 25-21 second win, but took back-to-back losses in the final two sets, 26-28, and 20-25.[read more]

The Rams clicked on all cylinders in all three-sets of the match as the team cruised to the 25-11, 25-18, and 25-22 victory.

The win marked the second three-set of the day at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Volleyball Round-Up as the Rams took the win, 25-14, 25-16, and 25-20.

The combination of 26 WSSU attack errors, along with 42 kills by the Indians turned out to be too much for the Rams to overcome when the team took the hard-fought road loss, 25-20, 11-25, 18-25, and 17-25.
