2009: Lakeisha had a breakout season as a regular starter for the Lady Rams...She played in 103 sets and 34 of the team's 36 matches...She played the majority of the season at the Libero position where she was one of the Lady Rams' top defenders...She finished the season as the team's leader with a career-high 310 digs after amassing 40 total digs in the previous two seasons...Her best match of the season came against North Carolina A&T at the North Carolina Central Lady Eagles Classic...For the match, she set a new career-high with 27 digs in the match.

2008: Returned to the Lady Rams for a solid 2008 season...She played in 22 sets as a Lady Ram...She recorded the first kill of her career against the Maryland-Eastern Shore Lady Hawks in the 2008 Lady Rams Invitational...She finished the season with three kills...She added 19 digs for the season...She added an assist at St. Augustine's.

2007: Joined the Lady Rams late in the 2007 season and stepped in to become the team's Libero in the final nine games... She played in nine total games primarily at the libero position...She finished the season with one service ace ...She also recorded 21 digs ... She had her best game at Norfolk State where totaled a career-high eight digs ... She recorded her first service ace in a home game against Campbell.

Personal: Lakeisha joined the Lady Rams volleyball team midway through the 2007 season ... A native of Weaverville, NC, she is a 2007 graduate of Asheville High School where she was a stellar athlete in a number of sports ... She earned varsity letters in three different sports ... She earned four letters in volleyball and softball as well as three varsity letters in basketball for the Cougars ... The daughter of Walter and Norma Hawes ... She is a Justice Studies major at WSSU ... Born in Asheville, NC on September 7, 1988.
