Fayetteville, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams volleyball team moved to 2-0 on day two of the 2003 CIAA Volleyball Round-Up in Fayetteville, NC on Saturday morning.
The Lady Rams, who defeated Virginia Union yesterday to start the Round-Up, continued their success as they defeated the Lady Vikings of Elizabeth City State University, 3-0.
Winston-Salem State, who posted scores of 30-20; 30-19; and 30-22, improves to 4-11 overall and 4-3 in the CIAA. While ECSU falls to 1-7 overall and 1-5 in the CIAA.
Leading the way for the Lady Rams was Chasity Clark (Jr./OH/5'9"/Winston-Salem, NC) who recorded a match-high ten kills, while posting only four errors on 19 attempts (.316). The pair of Lady Rams setters played exceptionally as well, as freshman Xandria Clark (Fr./S/5'6"/Swansboro, NC) and red-shirt freshman Janessa Webb (Fr./S/5'5"/Anchorage, AK) tallied 13 and 18 kills respectively.
The Lady Rams will look to continue their success at the 2003 CIAA Volleyball Round-Up at 1:30 pm when they take on Bowie State.
