Fayetteville, NC - Not even a bomb threat could keep the Lady Rams from dominating on the court on Saturday afternoon as they easily defeated the Bowie State University Lady Bulldogs 3-1 to move to 3-0 on the weekend on the second day of competition at the 2003 CIAA Volleyball round-Up.
The Lady Rams, playing at EE Smith High School which was serving as the second venue for the round up, saw their game time get pushed back due to a phony bomb threat, but even the bomb scare only postponed the inevitable as the Lady Rams posted scores of 30-18; 25-30; 30-17; 30-19 to move to 5-11 overall and 5-3 in the CIAA.
Pacing WSSU were 2002 All-CIAA First-Team selections Chasity Clark (Jr./5'9"/OH/Winstno-Salem, NC) and Ebony Douglas (Jr./5'9"/OH/Raleigh, NC) with eight and nine kills respectively.
The Lady Rams will return to action as they close out the second day of competition looking to preserve their flawless record as they face the Trojanettes of Virginia State University at 5:30 pm.
