Durham, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams volleyball team returned to CIAA Western Division play on Tuesday evening, after spending the past weekend competing against non-conference foes at the Kutztown Tournament in Pennsylvania, and received a rude welcome from the Lady Eagles of North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC.
The Lady Rams and Lady Eagles, two bitter rivals, battled back and forth, but it was the Lady Eagles who exerted their dominance, as they were able to earn the 3-0 victory and hand the Lady Rams their fifth straight loss. The Lady Rams fell by the scores of 30-22; 30-26; and 30-16.
The Lady Rams, who fall to 7-15 overall and 7-5 in the CIAA, will return to action on Friday evening at 6:00 pm when they travel to Salisbury, NC to take on the Livingstone College Lady Blue Bears.
