Final Stats

Hampton, VA - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams volleyball team opened the 2005 season with a loss on Friday evening as they fell in defeat 3-0 to the Lady Pirates of Hampton University in the opening game of the 2005 Hampton Lady Pirate Labor Day Volleyball Classic.

The Lady Rams, who are sporting a completely overhauled roster from the 2004 season, kept the contest close for the duration, yet fell just short, losing in straight sets by the score of 30-17, 30-15, 30-15.

The loss drops WSSU to 0-1 on the season (0-0 CIAA) while Hampton improves to 1-0 with the win.

WSSU returns to action versus Southern University following an hour layoff in the second round of the 2005 Hampton Lady Pirate Labor Day Volleyball Classic.
