Final Stats

Hampton, VA - The Lady Rams volleyball team fell to 0-2 on the season on Friday evening as they fell in defeat by the score of 3-1 to the Lady Jaguars of Southern University in the second round of the 2005 Hampton Lady Pirate Labor Day Volleyball Classic.

The Lady Rams dropped the first set 30-24 before rallying to win the second set 30-23 as WSSU tied the match.  However, the Lady Jaguars would sneak out two straight wins earning a third-game victory by the score of 30-26, and squeaking out an extra-time, 31-29 win in the fourth, and deciding game.

The loss drops WSSU to 0-2 on the season (0-0 CIAA) while Southern evens their record at 1-1 with the win.

WSSU retires for the evening before returning to action versus Norfolk State at 10:00 am on Saturday morning as they will open second round action at the 2005 Hampton Lady Pirate Labor Day Volleyball Classic.
