WSSU Drops Third Consecutive Game; Fall To UNC-Pembroke 3-0

Wingate, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams volleyball team lost their third consecutive game of the 2004 season on Saturday afternoon in Wingate, NC at the Wingate University volleyball tournament as they fell in defeat to the University of North Carolina-Pembroke by the score of 3-0.

The Lady Rams dropped the first game by the score of 30-21, lost the second by the score of 30-21 and fell in the last game by the score of 30-20.

Junior Kyra Pridgen (Jr./OH/Wilmington, NC) turned in an impressive performance with six kills and an ace in the match. Two-time, First-Team All-CIAA selection Chasity Clark (Sr./OH/Winston-Salem, NC) played well in the loss as she tallied six kills, seven digs and one ace.

The Lady Rams fall to 1-3 on the season with the loss and return to action on Monday evening when they travel to Misenheimer, NC to take on Queens (NC) at 6:00 pm and Pfeiffer at 8:00 pm.
