Winston-Salem, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams volleyball team dropped their first match of a tri-match on Monday evening as they fell in defeat to Queens University (NC) by the score of 3-1 to fall to 1-4 on the season.
The Lady Rams, who were playing their fourth match in as many days, won the first game of the match by the score of 30-22 and appeared to be in complete control of the match.
However, Queens rallied and swept the next three games, turning in scores of 30-20, 30-14, and 30-26 to capture the match victory.
The Lady Rams were led by senior Chasity Clark (Sr./OH/Winston-Salem, NC) and junior Kyra Pridgen (Jr./OH/Wilmington, NC) who tallied a total of 18 kills in the contest.
WSSU's First-Team All-CIAA setter Janessa Webb (So./S/Anchorage, AK) led the Lady Rams in assists in the loss.
With the loss, the Lady Rams fall to 1-4 on the season and will return to action at 8:00 pm when they face Pfeiffer University in their last match of the evening.
