For the first time in the two teams' three meetings in 2005, Southern University would sweep the Lady Rams as they dispatched winless WSSU 3-0, by the scores of 30-23, 30-20, and 30-21 to drop WSSU to 0-7 on the season.
The Lady Rams would not help their own cause on the afternoon as they committed 25 attacking errors while recording only 28 kills in the match, for an attack percentage of only .032.

In contrast, the Lady Jaguars would record 43 kills and commit only 25 errors in 117 total attack attempts for an attack percentage of .154.
Leading the way for the Lady Jaguars was Krystal Young and TaRhonda White who tallied 13 and 10 kills respectively in the contest. WSSU was paced by Cherena Douglass who recorded a team-high seven kills in the match. Kendall Sutton chipped in with six kills and a trio of Lady Rams added four kills each in the losing effort.
