Durham, NC - North Carolina Central University senior middle hitter Danielle Johnson-Webb recorded a match-high 11 kills to lead the Lady Eagles of North Carolina Central University to a 3-0 (30-23, 30-17, 30-20) sweep of Winston-Salem State University at McLendon-McDougald Gymnasium in Durham, NC in CIAA volleyball action on Wednesday evening.
The Lady Rams would keep the first game of the match close, but faded shortly thereafter as the Lady Eagles, the defending CIAA Champions, showed why they are the favorite to capture their second consecutive conference crown.
With the win, the Lady Rams fall to 0-10 overall (0-2 CIAA, 0-2 CIAA West) while the Lady Eagles improve to 8-7 overall (3-0 CIAA, 2-0 CIAA West).
