Charlotte, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams' volleyball team earned their fourth win of the 2005 season on Wednesday evening as they defeated the Lady Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith University by the score of 3-1 (30-25, 30-26, 21-30, 33-31) at Brayboy Gymnasium in Charlotte, NC.
The Lady Rams looked as though they would sweep the home-team Lady Golden Bulls as WSSU reeled off back-to-back game wins to start the match. WSSU earned a 30-25 win in game one, and a 30-26 win in game two to open up what looked to be an insurmountable lead.
However, the Lady Golden Bulls mounted a comeback in the third game of the match as five receiving errors helped to propel JCSU to a 30-21 win, cutting the Lady Rams' lead to a single game at 2-1.
The third game of the match would require extra-time to decide the outcome as the Lady Rams snuck out the 33-31 game win, earning the match victory in the process.
