WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams volleyball team fell in defeat for the third time in as many matches as the North Carolina Central University Lady Eagles swept WSSU 3-0 (30-17, 30-15, 30-14) in the first match of day-two action at the 2006 WSSU Lady Rams Volleyball Invitational.
The regionally-ranked Lady Eagles cruised to the win as they outscored WSSU 90-46 over the three-game stretch to earn the match victory.
NCCU was led by Shari Matthews who tallied 21 kills in 33 total attack attempts as she was the only player to tally double-digit kills. The Lady Rams were led by Seidah El-Amin who recorded four kills in the loss.
With the win the Lady Eagles improve to 18-7 overall (7-0) while WSSU drops to 2-16 on the season. The two teams await the result of the next match between
