Final Stats

NORFOLK, VA - Kendall Sutton led the Lady Rams with seven kills and four digs as Winston-Salem State University fell in defeat to the Norfolk State University Lady Spartans at Echols Hall in Norfolk, VA by the score of 3-0 (30-18, 31-29, 30-24) as WSSU dropped to 2-19 on the season.

The Lady Rams fell in defeat 30-18 in the first game of the match before responding with great play in the second game as WSSU narrowly lost 31-29 to fall behind two games to none.

The third game of the match would again go in favor of Norfolk State as the Lady Rams and Lady Spartans battled nearly point-for-point before NSU was able to secure the match victory with a 30-24 win.

Norfolk State was led by Yolanda Roberts who recorded 11 kills in the match.  She was joined by Chanel Barnes and Karina Moore who each tallied 10 kills in the win.

Norfolk State improves to 5-10 on the season with the win as the Lady Rams fall to 2-19 with the loss.

WSSU returns to action on October 4, 2006 at 6:00 pm as they travel to Fayetteville, NC to face the Lady Broncos of Fayetteville State University.
