Lady Rams Fall to Bethune-Cookman, 3-0

Final Stats

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (3-14) found little offense when they took on the Bethune-Cookman University Lady Wildcats (3-7, 0-2 MEAC). The Lady Rams posted some low scores in the match falling to the Lady Wildcats by scores of 16-30, 15-30, and 21-30.

 

As a team, the Lady Rams totaled just 23 kills in the match while allowing 48 kills to their opponents. The team hit a season-low totaling just four kills in game two of the game. WSSU freshman hitter Ashley Harris led the way for the Lady Rams with nine kills in the match. Junior Valentina Pushkina coordinated the WSSU attack with 16 assists and seven digs. Junior middle blocker Brandie Beane added four total blocks (two solo).

 

The Lady Rams will return to action on Tuesday when the team takes on Tuesday when they take on the USC-Upstate Spartans in a home match.
