Winston-Salem, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams volleyball team dropped their sixth straight match on Wednesday evening at Whitaker Gymnasium as they fell in defeat to the Lady Tigers of Benedict College by the score of 3-1 (29-31, 35-33, 18-30, 27-30) in a battle between the CIAA and SIAC.
The Lady Rams dropped the first game of the match by the score of 31-29 as the Lady Tigers needed extra action to secure the win. The second game saw the Lady Rams turn the tide and pull out a 35-33 extra action win to knot the match at 1-1.
However, unforced errors would prove to be the Lady Rams undoing as they dropped the next two games to lose the match 3-1.

With the loss, the Lady Rams fall to 7-19 overall (5-9 CIAA) on the year. WSSU returns to action on Thursday, October 5th, 2005 at 6:00 pm as they travel to Fayetteville, NC to face the Lady Broncos of Fayetteville State.
WSSU will be looking for a win in order to keep their slim CIAA Tournament hopes alive.
