Washington, DC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams volleyball team left at the crack of dawn on Saturday morning to travel the six hours to the University of the District of Columbia and needed only 77 minutes to defeat the host team 3-0 in non-conference volleyball action as they improved to 9-16 overall in 2004 (6-6 CIAA).
The Lady Rams, still without the services of All-CIAA First-Team outside hitter Chasity Clark (Winston-Salem, NC) banded together and turned in a total team effort to easily defeat UDC in a three-game sweep by the scores of 30-20, 30-24, and 30-21.
The Lady Rams will return to action on October 19th, 2004 as they will play host to the Lady Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith University in Whitaker Gymnasium at 6:00 pm.
