DOVER, DE - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams' volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (30-18, 30-14, 30-11) decision to the New Jersey Institute of Technology during first-round action from the Delaware State University Lady Hornets' Volleyball Invitational on Friday evening.
The Lady Rams lost the first game of the match 30-18, before falling 30-14 and 30-11 in the next two games en route to being swept by NJIT.
Leading the way for the Lady Rams was Annika Barnwell who tallied a team-high six kills in the loss. Kasha Hornstein led four NJIT players in double-digit kills with a match-high 14.
With the loss the Lady Rams fall to 2-23 on the season while NJIT improves to 6-16 overall with the win.
