Lady Rams Take 3-1 Loss at Wofford - WINSTON-SALEM STATE OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE

SPARTANBURG, SC - The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (4-19) turned up the offense, but not enough when the team took a 3-1 loss to the Wofford Terriers (9-14, 2-8 SoCon), Saturday evening. The struggling Lady Rams totaled 39 kills in the match, but couldn't match Wofford 49 kills and 16 service aces in the match.

The Lady Rams kept the first two games close falling by scores of 21-30 and 19-30 before taking a 30-26 win in game three of the match. However, the team was outgunned in game four, falling by a score of 15-30. The WSSU tandem of freshman hitter Ashley Harris and sophomore Annika Barnwell totaled 12 kills each while fellow freshman Erica Cole added 15 digs in the match.

The Lady Rams will head to Durham, NC next Tuesday to take on the North Carolina Central Eagles.
