DOVER, DE - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (30-18, 30-18, 30-18) decision to the Friars of Providence College on Saturday afternoon at the Delaware State University Volleyball Invitational from Dover, DE.

 

The Lady Rams dropped three straight matches as Winston-Salem State University recorded 18 points in each game en route to falling to the Friars.

 

WSSU was the beneficiary of a seven-kill performance from Kendall Sutton in the loss as she was the only Lady Ram to record more than five kills in the match.

 

Providence College was led by Elizabeth Flynn who tallied a match-high 11 kills.  She was joined in double figures by Jeanette Toney who recorded 10 kills in the win.


 

 

 

The loss drops the Lady Rams to 2-22 overall on the season while Providence College improves to 13-13 with the win.

 

Winston-Salem State returns to action at 5:00 pm as they face the host-team Hornets of Delaware State University.
