DURHAM, N.C. - The Lady Rams volleyball team was downed by the two-time defending CIAA volleyball champion North Carolina Central University Lady Eagles on Tuesday evening at McClendon-McDougald Gymnasium in Durham, NC by the score of 3-0 (30-17, 30-20, 30-12) as WSSU fell to 2-27 on the season.

NCCU (27-12), winners of three consecutive CIAA Western Division titles (2004-06), received a match-high 21 kills, six service aces and 11 digs from junior Shari Matthews, who continues to lead the nation in kills with an average of 6.34 kills per game.
WSSU (2-27) was paced by freshman Seidah El-Amin with a team-best nine kills, while sophomore Valentina Pushkina added 14 assists and nine digs.
