Durham, NC - The 2004 season did not end up the way that the Lady Rams' volleyball team would have hoped in terms of the overall outcome, but, on the bright side, it did end with a win as WSSU handed Bowie State a 3-1 (30-20, 27-30, 30-17, 30-28) defeat in the third and final game of pool play at the 2004 CIAA Volleyball Championship in Durham, NC on Saturday.
WSSU jumped out early on the Lady Bulldogs as they cruised to a 30-20 win, but faltered a bit in the second game of the match en route to BSU tying it up as the snuck out the 27-30 win.
WSSU hammered back as they won 30-17 in game three and sealed the match victory with a 30-28 win in the final game.
The Lady Rams close out the season at 11-22 overall (8-8 CIAA) and will return to action in the spring of 2005 for off-season conditioning and workout.
