WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (30-27, 31-29, 30-14) decision to Wofford College at the C.E. Gaines Center in Winston-Salem, NC on Wednesday evening in WSSU's final home contest of the year to fall to 2-29 on the season.
WSSU dropped the first game of the match by the score of 30-27 before falling 31-29 in the second game of the match as it looked as though they might even the score, forcing extra frames to decide the game's outcome.
Following the disheartening loss in the match's second game, the Lady Rams were unable to mount a stiff challenge in the third game as Wofford pulled out the 30-14 win in the third, and final, game of the match en route to the victory, their seventh of the season.
The Lady Rams were led by Kendall Sutton's team-high nine kills in the match. Wofford was led by Lindsay Richardson's match-high 14 kills as she and Courtney Gregory (10 kills) each recorded double-digit kills in the win.
