Clemmons, NC - The Winston-Salem State University women's cross country team, cruised to a first place finish in the Division II flight at the Southern Cross Country Invitational at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, NC on Friday afternoon as they defeated Greensboro College and Bluefield State College.
The Lady Rams, hosting their first multi-team cross country event in over five seasons, turned in a very impressive performance on Friday afternoon as they would fall to only Elon University, another Division I opponent in the meet, and only by eight points.
