PLEASANT GARDEN, NC - Led by Irene Jeptolo's fifth-place finish, the Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams cross country team earned a fifth place team finish at the Old Northstate Cross Country Championships hosted by Guilford College at Hagan Stone Park in Pleasant Garden, NC on Saturday morning.
Jeptolo turned in the best individual finish for the Lady Rams as she led all WSSU finishers and was the only WSSU runner to crack into the top 10. She completed the course in a team-best 19:16.40 as she continues to move up the regional rankings.
In other WSSU notable action, Tomita Ferguson (42nd) and Sandy Harrison (62nd) rounded out the Lady Rams' top 65 finishers.
