Salisbury, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams' cross country team had a rough time in Salisbury, NC on Monday afternoon as they finished in the bottom five slots in a CIAA cross-country loss to the Lady Blue Bears of Livingstone College to close out the 2004 regular season.
The Lady Rams' top finisher was Dominique Corbitt (Sr./Snow Hill, NC) who completed the three-mile course in 30:27 to finish sixth overall. She was followed by teammate Bobbi Barnes who crossed the finish line only four seconds later.
The Lady Blue Bears easily cruised to the win as they paced the field earning finishers in the first through fifth positions. Leading the way was Jennifer Plymouth who recorded a time of 25:22.
WSSU has now closed out regular season competition for 2004 and will return to action on Thursday, October 19th, 2004 as they travel to Cary, NC to compete in the 2004 CIAA Cross-Country Championships.
