James Bullock, III joined the Winston-Salem State University athletics staff in the fall of 2018. After making a great impression as an intern with the department, Bullock returned to become a member of the athletics staff. He came to Winston-Salem State after another internship with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
As the compliance officer for the Rams, Bullock has several duties. He works to verify student-athlete eligibility to participate in competition as well as investigating and reviewing alleged NCAA and conference rule violations. He also serves as the liaison between WSSU athletics and the NCAA.
Bullock is a 2017 graduate of Winston-Salem State University and he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management. He is also pursuing a Master’s degree. During his undergraduate years, he was a captain of the Rams 2015 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) championship team.
