RICHMOND, VA – The Winston-Salem State Rams will need to wait a little longer before opening Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) play as the women's and men's basketball doubleheaders originally scheduled for Thursday have been postponed due to conflicts with exam schedules.
The Rams women's and men's basketball teams were poised to open conference play against the defending CIAA champions, Thursday, but the teams will have to wait a little longer. With inclement weather forcing changes to WSSU final exam schedules, the new exam schedule resulted in conflicts between the games and exams. A new date for the rescheduled game will be announced when the information becomes available.
With the postponement, the Rams women's and men's basketball teams will now open CIAA play when they take on the Lincoln (Pa.) Lions, Saturday in Lincoln, Pa. For more information on Rams basketball, contact the WSSU Office of Athletic Media Relations at (336) 750-2143 or log on to www.WSSURams.com.
