WINSTON-SALEM, NC - Winston-Salem State University senior football player, Khendra Reid, has been chosen to participate in the second annual NFL-NCAA Life Skills Roundtable for Student-Athletes.
Khendra Reid is one of 30 student-athletes chosen to participate in this roundtable discussion. The Roundtable will take place on February 14-15, 2013 at the Omni Charlotte Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Reid finished his career with 163 total tackles in 36 games played. He also recorded 14 tackles for losses, three sacks, 6 pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one blocked kick. He was a key member of the Rams defensive unit, and played integral roles during the WSSU Rams run to the NCAA National Semi-Finals in 2011 and runner up finish in the National Championship game in 2012.
Through intimate discussions with student-athletes of various sports as well as NFL and NCAA personnel, the Roundtable will provide:
- Participants a forum to discuss the resources and support that they need in order to meet their personal and professional goals.
- Participants will learn what approaches other student-athletes are taking to work towards their goals.
- Participants will assist athletics professionals at the amateur and professional levels to develop and implement resources and programs that serve athletes' needs.
The NFL and the NCAA share the goal of providing athletes with resources and guidance to help them achieve success both on and off-the-field. We hope that you will join us in working towards this goal by sending a representative to the NFL-NCAA Life Skills Roundtable for Student-Athletes.
