CHARLOTTE, NC – Three Winston-Salem State University football players have earned CIAA weekly honors for their play last week versus Livingstone.

Jac'Que Polite (Jr, OL, Ridgeland, SC) has been chosen as the Offensive Lineman of the Weekfor h9is play last week. Polite had another dominating day for the WSSU offensive line, as the Rams accumulated 528 total yards (285 rushing, 243 passing) in WSSU's 23-21 win over Livingstone on Saturday.
Will Johnson (Jr, K/P, High Point, NC) was slected as the CIAA Special Teams Player of the Week. Johnson had another spectacular day, punting once for 43 yards, while also connecting on three of four field goals, including the game winner for the Rams. Johnson accounted for 11 of WSSU's 23 points.
Rod Tinsley Jr (Fr, QB, Charlotte, NC) was selected as the CIAA Rookie of the Week. Tinsley Jr had his best day as a collegian, going 13 of 22 for 243 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing five times for 56 yards. He did not take a sack and was not intercepted on the afternoon.
