12+ NFL Teams to see top FCS & HBCU Talent fill the 2016 FCS Bowl Roster
DAYTONA BEACH, FL – Winston-Salem State University senior corner back, Cameron Sullivan, has been selected to participate in the FCS Bowl, a bowl for football college subdivision and HBCU players. The FCS Bowl will be played this Sunday, December 4th, at Daytona Beach Municipal Stadium at 1:30pm.
The best FCS college football players from around the nation will head to the "FCS BOWL" set for Sunny Daytona Beach, Florida National Bowl Weekend. The FCS game creates an exciting scouting opportunity for top level talent from the NCAA's Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) seniors.
Cameron Sullivan (Sr, Charlotte, NC), helped guide the Winston-Salem State Rams to a 9-3 record in 2016, and back to back CIAA Championships. Sullivan finished third on the team in tackles with 49, while also making 1.5 tackles for loss, and tied for the team lead in interceptions with three, to go with six pass breakups. Sullivan was selected to the Honorable Mention All-CIAA Team.
It will be a jammed pack weekend of football as the FCS BOWL will kickoff at 1:30pm at Daytona Beach Municipal Stadium in Daytona Beach, Florida. The FCS Bowl's 100 certified All-Americans will be scouted by over 10 NFL teams and a total of 30+ total pro scouts in attendance including scouts from the Arena Leagues and the Canadian Football league (CFL). The FCS Bowl is presented by East Preps which has been rated by some as a top 10 sports management firm. Player Personnel is headed by FCS Bowl President Michael Quartey with the help of former NFL Scouts Ken Moll, & Jerry Hardaway and Scouting Consultant Shaun DePasquale. Players are expected from as far as California, Colorado, and Texas. 12 NFL teams have already expressed their interest in attending the 2016 FCS Bowl in Daytona as it is the perfect location and city for the event.
The FCS Bowl is one of the only elite Non-FBS post-season all-star game that see scouts a significant number of scouts from NFL teams along with the CFL, and arena leagues. The bowl rosters are unique in that they give the NFL, CFL, and additional scouts a chance to view and get to know some of the best players from smaller schools many college football fans do not get to see regularly.
This year the FCS Bowl will be head coached by award winning and 18 year NFL veteran Coach Mike Stock formerly of the Green Bay Packers while another team will be headed by Coach Chris Thompson of the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks who is a veteran pro arena Head Coach with AFL experience and championship success. Other assistants include coaches from the AFL's Tampa Bay Storm and Philadelphia Soul. During the FCS Bowl weekend, players will attend an "Athletes & Agents Conference" where NFL & CFL agents and sports insiders will educate the players on the process of going pro featuring renowned agent John Perez of Perez Sports Associates and Richard Larde of Tarbus Sports Management. Pro Bowl agent Jonathan Tilly will continue to be a staple on the panel as he is also a game committee consultant and former NFL Contract Advisor.
