Rams Surge Past Johnson C. Smith for 7-0 Victory

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (7-9, 5-4 CIAA) put on a dominating performance to take a 7-0 victory over the Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls. The Rams took the win behind an inspired performance that saw the team dominate both doubles and singles play.

The Rams kicked things off with a pair of 8-2 wins in doubles play at #1 and #2 doubles. Freshman Christopher Shew started things in singles play when he took an 8-0, 8-0 win at #5 singles. Sophomore Corey Bonnette added a 6-0, 6-0 win at #3 singles as well. Senior Chris Jeter took a 6-2, 6-1 win at #4 singles while fellow senior Creighton Jones took a 6-0, 6-1 win at #2 singles.
