Three Rams Named to D2NCAA All-Atlantic Region Team

LOCK HAVEN, PA – The honors just keep coming in for the Winston-Salem State Rams softball team with three players being named to the Conference Commissioner's Association D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Team. The Rams had two first team selections along with one second team selection.

The junior duo of second base Daijah Chambers and designated player Erica Davis were both first team D2CCA All-Atlantic Region selections. Chambers earned her selection after batting .463 for the season with a team-high 44 RBI. She also had nine home runs with eight doubles and five triples with 42 runs scored. Defensively, she had 71 putouts with 48 assists and only one error for a .992 fielding percentage. Erica Davis earned first team D2CCA All-Atlantic Region honors at the designated hitter position. She earned the spot after leading the Rams with a .482 batting average with four home runs, 10 doubles, and a triple. She also added 31 RBI with 30 runs scored. Both players earned spots on the 2019 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) All-Conference team.

Senior Destiny Snipes earned a spot on the D2CCA All-Atlantic Region team for the third time in her career. She also earned the honor during her freshman and sophomore seasons. This season, she earned second team honors in the outfield position after batting .443 for the season with 33 RBI, seven home runs, five doubles, and three triples. She also added 33 RBI with 39 runs scored. The honor comes in addition to All-CIAA honors for Snipes as well.
