Rams to Enter 2019 CIAA Tennis Championship Tournament as Fourth Seed


CHARLOTTE, NC- The Winston-Salem State Rams tennis team will seek post-season glory as the team prepares for the 2019 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Tennis Championship Tournament. After a terrific regular season, the Rams will enter the tournament as the fourth overall seed.

The Rams will open tournament play against the fifth overall seeded Fayetteville State Broncos. Winston-Salem State earned the seeding after going 11-6 overall and 9-3 in CIAA play this season. The Rams will enter the tournament on a six-match winning streak that included a 4-3 upset win over the Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls.

The 2019 CIAA Women's Tennis Championship Tournament will be held at the Bowie State University Tennis Courts on the campus of Bowie State University. The Rams and the Broncos will be the second match of the day with the first match slated for a 10:30 a.m. start.
