    ALLENDALE, MI – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams 4x100m relay team stepped up in a big way, Saturday when the team placed second at the 2014 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championship Meet. After qualifying for the finals with a 46.41 and placing eighth, Thursday afternoon, the Lady Rams stepped up their efforts in a big way with a stellar finals performance.

    ALLENDALE, MI- Winston-Salem State University triple jumper Tajanel McNeil capped a stellar junior season with a ninth place finish in the women’s triple jump at the 2014 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championship Meet. The junior placed ninth among the field of 20 competitors on the nation’s largest stage.

    GREENSBORO, NC – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams outdoor track & field team had some great performances at the 2014 Aggie Last Chance Meet hosted by North Carolina A&T State University. The Lady Rams’ 4x100m relay team took center stage when the team posted a 45.98 to place second in the event. With the effort, the Lady Rams posted the fifth best NCAA Division II time in the nation.

    ETTRICK, VA – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams moved up one spot to place fourth at the second day of the 2014 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Outdoor Track & Field Championship Meet. The Lady Rams finished the meet with 81 total points after totaling 18 points on day one of the meet.

    ETTRICK, VA – The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams track & field team had to outrun cold weather and a stellar field of competition to put on some strong efforts on the opening day of the 2014 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Outdoor Track & Field Championship Meet. As a team, the Lady Rams totaled 18 points on the opening day of the meet and sent several qualifiers for the event finals on day two of the meet.

    NEW ORLEANS, LA – The Winston-Salem State duo of junior jumper Tajanel McNeil and sophomore sprinter Raven Covington were both honored as selections to the United States Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches’ Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division II All-Region team, Wednesday. The honors go to the top five individuals in each event from each region. The Lady Rams duo took home honors for the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region.

The Lady Rams had some impressive performances early in the season and showed a lot of promise for the upcoming season.
