McNeil Places 9th in Triple Jump at 2014 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Nationals


ALLENDALE, MI- Winston-Salem State University triple jumper Tajanel McNeil capped a stellar junior season with a ninth place finish in the women's triple jump at the 2014 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championship Meet. The junior placed ninth among the field of 20 competitors on the nation's largest stage.


McNeil recorded a best jump of 41'4.25" (12.60m) on her third jump of the day. The leap qualified her for the event finals where she recorded a best jump of 41'0.5" (12.51m).  

The junior's work is not yet done as she will join the Lady Rams' 4x100m relay team when they compete in the event finals tomorrow. The team is scheduled to compete at 5:20 p.m. tomorrow.
